Arsenal should be careful what they wish for, there's no question about that.

Re: Wenger stepping down
He should've left them years ago. They've not been serious title contenders for so long now - probably not since they last won it in 03/04.

Still, he's done a brilliant job there. Just look at all the trophies that they've won. I know that most of them were in his first decade there but they've even won 3 of the last 4 FA Cup finals.

I can't say that I like Arsenal much at all but I can't deny that it's a great job for someone to step into. If they sort out the core spine of their team then they'll be serious title contenders once again.

Re: Wenger stepping down
Arsenal like us problems are ownership. Claude just been papering over the cracks for the pass decade. Now they are finishing potless (Can’t see them beating A Madrid over 2 legs.) And no chance of Champions League footie next season. Silent Stan had to be seen to be doing something.?

Re: Wenger stepping down
just what we didn't need before playing them ! emotions will be high now and you can guarantee they will all put in a shift !

just our f'ing luck !

Re: Wenger stepping down
They’ll go for an ex gooner. That leaves Howe available. Rumour has it Bournemouth is up for sale and with no benefactor behind him Howe will ant to leave. Our chance to nick a good English young manager.

Boots I have been told that Viera is lined up. Although this guy also told me he heard this news yesterday and couldn't say etc.

He may be a bit of a dreamer with his info tbh.

Re: Wenger stepping down
Hopefully...we can go for Rodgers then !

Re: Wenger stepping down
Can't decide if this will provoke a positive reaction from their players and fans or if they'll all just go through the motions until next season, save for the Athletico games.

They're not going to catch Chelsea, but I suppose it would be major embarrassment to finish below Burnley, which is probably the only thing spurring them on in the league.

Re: Wenger stepping down
Not sure this will be a bad thing for us? May well find that priority number one for them know is a trophy! Not that it wasn’t before but every gooner and his mate, not to mentio player will know want the Europa Cup to farewell Wenger.

Sunday could well see us well and truly safe, not that we aren’t already realistically.

Is he going to hand pick his replacement as Red nose did???

The end of the world is nigh !.

If I were an Arsenal fan I would be thinking about bloody time, he should have gone at least three years ago.
